Our Charity Contributions

As the owner of Brighter Media I have allot to be thankful for, I have my health & I have been fortunate enough to have enjoyed the basic rights that most of us int he UK are accustomed to.

I have enjoyed a prosperous career whilst in full time employment. Family life is well & I have honour & distinguished privilege of having four sons aged between 16 years and 18 months. All have enjoyed the basic rights of a clean tidy home, a balanced and consistent diet, education and most importantly parental love. By no means am I a Richard Branson & I wouldn’t win a parent of the year competition.  In fact running my own business for the last 4 years have brought many challenges and learnings that you simply don’t know about until you become self-employed.

Putting all of that to one side it’s not very often you get the opportunity to make meaningful selfless contribution to society; however I do believe that it’s important when you get the opportunity to do what you can. Our charity work started off with simple contributions supporting other people’s charity mostly using just giving, we would mostly donate £10 per request. I then decide to set up a standing order to of £10 per month in addition to spontaneous charity donations.

My chosen charity was Action for Children. I can honestly say children who don’t have access to basic rights make me sad, it’s a small amount I hope that it make some difference somewhere.

We were then approached by the Steve Sinnot Foundation a charity who specialises in educational charity work for children across the world. We were asked to build a full content managed website using wordpress. This site would give the charity the ability to change the appearance of home page, add pages, case study’s, events and link to the donations portal. This would be our largest contribution to date and the one that could possibly touch the most amounts of lives. As a result we have committed build at least 1 site per financial ¼ as and when the opportunity presents it self.

Our next charity website that is in development is the Wexford association of London which is community based site for Irish expats and the Irish elderly who are based in London.
